I have decided to use comics as a starting point as this blog seems a bit dead & I wanted to use something to breath new life into it so here it is.
Using my portable laptop with online access, I went to Kinokuniya NAC to check out their comics collection and then use then compared with the online bookweb data base to confirm my findings. And here is my conclusion and suggestions to make bookweb buying a fun and easier experience.
Conclusion
As seen from the below 2 pics which the titles are in stock or in the HQ Warehouse, the titles are shown to be available in Bookweb.
The last picture shows the title that is unavailable but IS ABLE to be ordered through ONLINE BOOKWEB (subjected to availability) but not through the retail store. Of course, where the sale goes through or not is depend on the stock availability.
So I summarize the following
Stocks available on Bookweb is also seen at most Kinokuniya Outlets - Most of the time.
Stocks not available on Bookweb is also not available at Kinokuniya Outlets - Most of the time also.
Titles out of stock can be ordered via Bookweb Online - YES subject to availability
Titles out of stocks can be ordered via retail stores - NOT Always as subjected to restrictions and any many various issues.
So for those who wanna save the trip down Orchard Bugis or Liang Court and wanna save on the delivery....below are some suggestions you can use.

1)Head down to any of the Kinokuniya Branches & check out the stock availability before making an order online. It will ensure faster processing & delivery. Especially since if there is stock in the store, there probably is still in the warehouse
2)Make multiple purchases for one transaction to enjoy the "Above $50 free delivery)
3)Try to make orders on a MONDAY as you have 4 weekdays to thrash out any purchase issues as BOOKWEB online Staff is not available on Public Holidays & Weekends so there is no one to answer your enquires and retail sales floor personnel won't be able to help as they are of a different department.

This was a great issue that included a lot of trickery and more poor luck for Spider-man. He really doesn’t get a break, does he? The old Spider-man character Ezekiel is back and his existence is known by the hunters. I wonder how they ever found out about him. I’m hoping for a trick or something for next issue that would show that Peter Parker did not receive the amount of damage he did this issue. It was gruesome but edgy. I like how this story is shaping up and for once I have no idea where the writer is going with this. That’s rare these days and a welcome change in a series that’s an institution. The only drawback is Kaine. I’m tired of seeing him stick around and wish they would get rid of him soon.
Speaking of Kaine, he looked very different this issue. The artist drew him with shorter hair and made him almost a clone look alike of Peter Parker. He tends to look very different with the long hair. I like the work of Lark and Gaudiano here. It fits the story well. They are also remarkable storytellers guiding the reader through a web of action seamlessly.

“SECOND COMING”, CHAPTER TWELVE X-Force cuts their way through a dangerous future trying to cut off Bastion’s armies at the source. They better hurry as the X-Men in the present are falling left and right
It begins with a battle. Magneto has awakened and will defend Utopia with all his power.
As it transitions to the future X-force is trying to keep the Master Mold busy while Cable and Cypher enter the information center of the sentinels. Cypher is able to determine that he has entered processing core of the Master Mold because all the data he is reading is trying to keep him away from the area by making it "seem" to be harmless. Cypher uses the batlle machine he had comadeered to interface with the Master Mold's mainframe.
The narration switches back to the battle at Utopia. Bling, Rockslide and Storm are seen facing off against Nimrods. Storm attacks the Nimrods, but they are able to counteract her powers and build a charge large enough to incapacitate her. As the Nimrods decend from the sky to elliminate her Hope and Rogue appear. Rogue siphons Storm's powers and created an updraft that Hope uses to destroy the Nimrod with her weapon designed in 2712.
Return to Magneto's fight, the Nimrods's mention that he is only at 32% power and start to surround him in an attempt to destroy him. Magneto fights back reminding the Nimrods that he created Utopia and it was almost completely of iron. Shortly after the Nimrods are destroyed with shrapnel created fromt he island.
Back in the future Cypher continues to attempt to defeat the Master Mold. The Master Mold enters Cyphers mind and tried to assimilate him. The mistake it makes is trying to kill him with a language composed of numbers. Cypher easily interprets the language and triumphs over the Master Mold. Shortly after all the sentinels cease to work and are shut down both in the future and on Utopia.
On Utopia Husk and Colossus are shown fighting the Nimrods as they all begin to shut down. The Cuckoos find Magneto and wrongly think that it was he that shut down the Nimrods.
After X-force defeats their enemy in the future, they attempt to return through the portal created by the Nimrods. Fortunately, X-23 is the first to attempt to go through the portal. She is mortally wounded, but her healing factor can compensate. The portal is made to stop any organic entities from traveling through. It looks as though X-force is stuck in the future.
After the defeat of the Nimrods on Utopia, Hope confronts Cyclops. She is angry because he states that he mourns all the went into the future to stop the Master Mold. She tells Cyclops that they were only cannon fodder that he sent to the future because he didn't have the guts to go himself. Shortly after the reader sees Cable coming through the protal with his techo-virus taking over his body.
The last scene is Bastion preparing to attack the X-men on his own.

With “Captain America” #606, Butch Guice takes over as the regular artist of the book, a move that’s been a long time coming. He’s been working on the book and character for a while now, inking during the Steve Epting/Mike Perkins era, providing pencils for the odd issues, and, most recently, inking/finishing Bryan Hitch’s art in “Captain America: Reborn.” He kicks things off in grand style in this issue, delivering dynamic layouts and movements in a similar style to Epting and Perkins with elements of Steranko and Chaykin thrown in for good measure.

The first we see of Captain America and Falcon as they spring into action against the Wrecking Crew is a perfect depiction of the duo in motion: while Cap is in the center of the page, he’s clearly edging his way off the page, while the Falcon is ahead of him, only his legs visible, while the title of the comic runs down the left-hand side of the page and across in a repeating pattern. You want a sign that “The Heroic Age” has begun? This is it. It's fun, pop comics as the duo begin to bust Wrecking Crew heads on a two-page layout that’s nothing but movement and chaos. Guice has clearly upped his game.

After the events of “Two Americas,” James has been more reckless and Sam is worried that the death of the ‘50s Captain America has left him guilty and wanting to punish himself. If people were worried that Steve Rogers wouldn’t be a presence in the book, he plays a big role as he and Sam decide to talk to James about what happened and see if he’s feeling some aftereffects. It makes for a good mix of action and character work.

All the while, Baron Zemo has returned and learned that James is still alive. Throughout the issue, we see him planning a scheme to attack the new Captain America and destroy him. Brubaker handles Zemo with a strong villainous touch. He rants about how Osborn was a failure and he would have done a better job, and is absolutely efficient in his recruiting and plotting. An old school villain with ties to James is just what the book needs.

For the first time, the Nomad back-up strip doesn’t immediately clash with the main story. It could be a slightly lighter tone than the lead story, but it’s still rather serious and dark in the right places, so maybe the first installment of the new Nomad story is better. Rikki is adjusting to her new life and school with the focus here on how she’s living. She’s essentially homeless with few clothes and forced to eat at a homeless shelter. It’s not quite the typical teenage superhero story, but it doesn’t dwell too much on the negatives. Rikki makes the best of things and doesn’t complain. The twist at the end is obvious, but shows off how desperate Rikki is by accepting the help of a man she shouldn’t.

“Captain America” #606 doesn’t change too much from its usual routine, but the addition of Butch Guice to the art gives it a fresh feeling. His blending of different styles and elements make for a visually interesting and compelling comic, while Ed Brubaker’s character work is, as always, stellar on this title

The Punisher is a vigilante who considers killing, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence and torture to be acceptable crime-fighting tactics. Driven by the deaths of his family, who were killed by the mob when they witnessed a gangland execution in New York City's Central Park, the Punisher wages a one-man war on the mob and all criminals in general by using all manner of weaponry.[1] His family's killers were the first to be slain.[2] A war veteran, Castle is a master of martial arts, stealth tactics, guerilla warfare and a wide variety of weapons.The Punisher's brutal nature and willingness to kill made him a novel character in mainstream American comic books in 1974. By the late 1980s, he was part of a wave of psychologically troubled antiheroes and was featured in several monthly publications, including The Punisher War Journal, The Punisher War Zone, and The Punisher Armory. Three movie adaptations have been released, one in 1989, which features Dolph Lundgren as the Punisher, another in 2004, with the character played by Thomas Jane and a third in 2008 with Ray Stevenson as the character.
